Podcast 014: Feeling Drained After a Discussion? Here’s Why And How To Protect Yourself

core freedom podcast logoDo you ever feel drained after a discussion with a friend?

We all have been in situations where we walk away after talking to a friend or stranger, feeling like we need a nap to get our energy back.

How can we protect ourselves from getting our energies sucked out from us and still be there for a friend who needs us?

The first thing we need to understand is that energy runs in clockwise (constructive) and counter-clockwise (destructive) energies. Listen to the explanation of Dr. David Hawkins Scale of Consciousness.

Once you understand this piece, it’s important to realize where your friend is on this scale overall in life and at the moment of the discussion. Conscious and alert people don’t drain others of their energy. They take a few extra steps to prevent such energetic vampire behavior.

It takes two to dance this energetic dance. The one who drains and the one who allows themselves to be drained. Don’t be an enabler.

I’ll also share some specific steps you can take to help your friend and to protect yourself from having your energy drained.

Enjoy!
