Podcast 55: Which Are You? Light Worker, Dark Worker, Balance Worker

Podcast 55: Which Are You? A Light Worker, a Dark Worker, or a Balance Worker?

A student enrolled in the Increase Your Intuition Using EFT course asked a question regarding the ‘dark side.’ This is in lecture 20, which is all about ‘Preparing To See The Dark Side.’

Here is what she said:

Increase Your Intuitive Abilities_250x250“You advice us to be in the center between the light and the dark sides. Does this have to do with your view on light-workers vs balance-workers? I’m wondering if it is possible to be in the light side while being free and autonomous, while recognizing the dark (negativity, hatred) both inside and outside our self. I tend to think that the ideal state is to embrace all of reality and consistently choose what is good, but I don’t know if it is possible to always achieve this. I see you as someone who stands in the light side, you are so positive, loving and strong. I probably don’t completely understand what you mean.”

This is such a great question and comment that I decided to create a post and podcast out of it. I get more and more questions about this very topic as well as increasingly more emails ending in “love and light.” Let’s address this light-and-dark side issue.

Here was my response to her:

“As far as your inquiry about dark/light/balance is concerned, I created this simple picture for you.

“The white area around the infinity symbol is eternity. We can’t see it but it’s everywhere. It permeates all things.

  • Eternity is “the all.” The Source from where all things spring into matter.

  • The symbol demonstrates infinity.
  • Infinity has no beginning and no end.
  • Infinity is the beginning of matter.
  • And yet infinity was born out of eternity.
  • Infinity is the rhythm of life itself.
  • Rhythm between dark and light, good and evil, happiness or sadness, in- and out-breath, etc.
  • Every darkness creates a counterpart just like every out-breath is followed by an in-breath.
  • Every lightness creates a counterpart. Just like every in-breath creates an out-breath.

“Finding the balance between the two, keeps one as close as possible to the birth place of infinity, which is the equilibrium between creation itself. It’s the place where the distance between that which we think as “self” is closest to Source itself.

“To illustrate, I’ve taken the states we call happy and sad. People often want happiness more than they want anything else. They don’t realize, however, that by wishing for happiness they are also welcoming sadness as a means of contrast. One cannot know what happiness is unless he has first experienced sadness.

“A wise person, however, will choose contentment over happiness for the simple fact that contentment has no opposite. A happy person, on the other hand, will always be found unhappy sooner or later as happiness pulsates between happiness and sadness, back and forth the two go in rhythmic balanced interchanging motions.”

There is so much more to this light-dark-side issue that I would encourage you to listen to this podcast.

Enjoy!
